Feedback
Most of the commercial marble we see was not neglected. It was maintained by someone who was not set up for stone. Etch marks show up under the daylight in the lobby. Traffic lanes go flat at the entry doors. Somebody polished a section once and now the floor reads in patches.
Marble is a soft, reactive stone. The wrong pad, the wrong chemistry, or the wrong sequence does not just fail to help, it sets the surface back. That is why every commercial marble project here starts with identification and a measured baseline, not a bid.
Clean, Maintain, Restore, applied at the right tier.
Depending on what the surface needs, Pure Light Cleaning™ will clean it, maintain it, or restore it. The tier is decided by the stone, not by the proposal.

Clean
Deep cleaning and prep for marble that still holds its finish but is carrying soil, film, and residue. This is the right tier when the stone is sound and the surface is simply dirty.

Maintain
A scheduled program that holds the finish where it is, so a high-traffic floor does not quietly fall into a full restoration cycle. Sealing and protection are scoped here.

Restore
Mechanical restoration, including honing, polishing, scratch repair, etch removal, and color matching on marble, travertine, and limestone. This is the tier that brings a worn floor back to a documented finish.
The Pure Light Standard™ on a floor safety job.
The Pure Light Standard™ is the same five components on every job we do. Here is what each one looks like when the job is a slip test.
That is the whole arc. Read more about how we work on The Standard page.
Restore, surpass, or change the factory finish.
On marble, the finish is a measurement, not an opinion. We can read a factory-finished piece of Carrara with a gloss meter and polish it to a higher finish than it had out of the box. Whichever outcome you choose, the number is taken at the pre-job walkthrough and again at the post-job walkthrough, and both go in your documentation.
What it means
Bring the surface back to the finish it had when it was installed.
Take the finish above the original factory reading, and document the delta.
Move the surface to a different finish entirely, polished to honed or the reverse.
When it fits
A worn lobby or corridor where the original spec is still the right look.
Executive floors, hospitality entries, and spaces that carry the brand.
A design change, or a floor where a lower-gloss finish suits the traffic better.
We identify the stone before we quote the work.
Not sure what stone you have? We identify it during a free estimate using professional Stone ID kits. On a commercial floor that matters more than it sounds, because marble, travertine, and limestone all respond differently, and prior coatings change the sequence entirely.
what the estimate includes
On-site Stone ID to confirm marble, travertine, or limestone, and to flag any prior surface treatment
Etch, scratch, wear, and stain mapping across the affected area
A gloss baseline reading where the desired outcome is a measurable finish
A written scope with a Clean, Maintain, Restore recommendation
Scheduled around the building, not around us.
What usually pairs with a marble restoration.
Restoration sets the finish. Protection and maintenance are what keep it there.

Questions we get from facilities teams.
How disruptive is a marble restoration in an occupied building?
We coordinate low-disruption windows with your team, and can work off-peak or overnight when a space requires it. Most projects are sectioned so the space stays usable, with protection staged before equipment moves and a walkthrough with your contact before we start.
Can you match or exceed our original factory finish, and how do you prove it?
What is the difference between cleaning, honing, polishing, and full restoration?
Do you handle the sealing afterward, or is that a separate vendor?
What credentials and insurance do you carry for commercial work?
If the first method does not solve it, what then?
Bring the marble back to the building's standard.
We will confirm within one business day, schedule the walkthrough at your convenience, and hand you a written Clean, Maintain, Restore recommendation with the scope in plain language.
