Step 1
Free in-home evaluation and fiber identification
We come to you. We identify the fiber, note any prior damage, dye-test where needed, and tell you upfront what we can and cannot do with this specific rug. Then, in the room with your rug, we recommend the cleaning approach that fits the fiber, the surface it lives on, and what you would prefer. Nothing is picked up or cleaned until you have the plan and the price.
Step 2
We recommend one of two approaches
Based on the fiber, the surface your rug sits on, and what you would prefer, we recommend one of two approaches:
On-site (in-home) cleaning. A lighter, surface-level clean, done in the room with your rug. Well-suited to many synthetics and to rugs on tile or hard surfaces where a full immersion is not what the rug needs.
In-plant (facility) cleaning. A more thorough clean: full immersion, both sides of the rug, multiple passes, and controlled drying in our facility. It is what wool, silk, viscose, heirloom rugs, rugs on wood floors, and rugs with pet urine or heavy soil worked into the foundation actually need.
Either way, the same team and the same standard. The rest of this timeline shows the in-plant path, which is where more of our rug work lands. If we clean on-site, the pickup, in-plant cleaning, controlled drying, and delivery steps below do not apply, and the clean happens in place in a single in-home visit.
Step 3
Uniformed pickup in a Mercedes Sprinter
Our team arrives in matching uniforms and a clean Mercedes Sprinter, wraps your rug protectively, tags it, and logs it into our tracking system before it leaves your door, if being cleaned in our facility.
Step 4
Dry-soil removal and fiber-safe cleaning
Every rug starts with thorough dry-soil removal. Then we match the cleaning method to the fiber, wool, silk, viscose, cotton, synthetic, or blended, and clean it in our facility with the water temperatures, agitation, and cleaning agents that fiber actually tolerates.
Step 5
Controlled drying
No direct sun. No draping over a fence. Your rug dries flat or on a rack in a temperature and humidity-controlled space so the foundation holds its shape and the colors stay put.
Step 6
Optional fiber protector before delivery
If you want a protective barrier applied, we apply it as the last step before your rug goes back on the truck.
Step 7
Uniformed delivery and post-job walkthrough
We deliver your rug back on a scheduled window if taken to our facility, roll it into place, and walk the finished result with you before we leave. If something is not right, we hear it in the room, not on a review site.
Fibers we handle.
Most of the rugs we see in San Diego are synthetic (nylon or polyester) or wool. Silk, viscose, and heirloom rugs are less common, and they need the most careful handling. The fiber is what tells us how to clean it, and where.
Why most rug cleaning goes wrong.
Steam-cleaned in place
A hot-water wand on a hand-knotted wool rug forces dye migration and locks pet urine deeper into the foundation.
Rolled onto a dirty van floor
Your rug should not share a ride with the last three jobs of the day. Ours doesn't.
One method for every fiber
Wool, silk, viscose, cotton, and synthetics do not clean the same way. A vendor who runs one method through every rug is guessing with your investment.
Pet accidents, wine, and the real reasons rugs end up on our schedule.
Pet urine and odor
Dog and cat urine soaks past the pile into the foundation and the pad beneath. Surface cleaning covers the smell for a week. Full immersion, the way we clean rugs in our facility, is what actually removes the source.
Red wine, coffee, and food
Organic stains are a race against setting. The sooner a rug gets to our facility, the better the odds of a full recovery.
Sun fading and wear paths
What often looks like fading is really embedded soil, and cleaning it out can bring depth back to the pile. When it is real UV fading, we say so plainly and walk you through what can and cannot be done.
Post-remodel dust and drywall
A rug rolled up in the garage during a remodel usually comes out with fine drywall and construction dust worked deep into the pile. Vacuuming will not touch it. Full immersion will.

Honest scope: A protector is not a shield against every possible accident, and it does wear over time and with use. It is a smart addition, not a substitute for care.

Do you clean my rug in my home, or do you take it to your facility?
Sometimes in your home, sometimes at our facility. The decision depends on the fiber, the surface your rug sits on, and what you would prefer. Synthetic rugs on tile or hard surfaces can often be cleaned in place with a lighter, surface-level method. Wool, silk, viscose, heirloom rugs, rugs on wood floors, and rugs with pet urine or heavy soil worked into the foundation usually go with us to our facility for a full immersion clean, both sides of the rug, multiple passes, and controlled drying.
