What we do to your terrazzo.
Every terrazzo floor we touch is approached at the Restore tier of Clean, Maintain, Restore™.
Step 1
Grind.
Diamond-grinding removes damage down to a fresh, level surface. Deep scratches, staining that has set below the surface, and years of maintenance haze come out with the top layer.
Step 2
Hone.
Successive honing passes bring the terrazzo to the exact profile the space calls for, whether that is matte, honed, or the smooth base a satin or gloss finish needs to sit on.
Step 3
Polish, seal, or coat.
A final polish takes the floor to its target finish. Where the space calls for it, we finish with a penetrating sealer or a protective coating, chosen by traffic, lighting, and use.
Restore, surpass, or change the factory finish.
You do not have to accept whatever finish the original installer left.
Matte / Honed.
Soft, low-glare. Best for high-traffic corridors and daylight-flooded lobbies.
Satin.
Subtle reflection. Forgiving of foot traffic, easy to maintain.
High-Gloss Polished.
Mirrored, formal. Ideal for showpiece atriums and ballrooms.
Recommended finish varies by traffic pattern, lighting, and use. We will advise during the walkthrough.

How long will my floor be out of service?
Most commercial terrazzo restorations are staged in zones, so parts of your space stay open during the work. A full lobby or corridor typically takes two to four days of active grinding, honing, and polishing, plus a short cure window before heavy traffic returns. We give you the exact window during the walkthrough.
