What happens to countertops over time.
Your countertop takes more daily abuse than any other surface in the house. Here are the four things most cleaning vendors cannot fix.

Dull, hazy finish
Traffic, hard-water residue, and the wrong daily cleaner slowly flatten the light off your countertop. Not a stain. A worn finish.

Scratches and chips
Utensils, cast iron, and the slow slide of a kitchen appliance leave marks that no cleaning product will lift. Restoration removes them.

Hard-water etching around sinks and faucets
Mineral-heavy San Diego water leaves rings and hazing around every fixture. It sets into the finish, not just on top of it.

Cloudy spots from the wrong cleaners
The most common cause of a ruined countertop in premium homes is a bathroom-tile cleaner, a citrus spray, or a bleach wipe used one too many times.

The Pure Light Standard™, on your countertops.
The standard you hire is the standard that shows up. Same Mercedes Sprinter, same uniform, same tech photo before we ring the bell, same walkthrough on your counter before and after, same multi-method posture if the first method does not solve it.
Our countertop restoration process.
Countertop restoration is a multi-step craft, not a single buff. The same sequence runs on every stone, with the abrasives and polish matched to the material on your counter.
Step 1
Deep Stone Scrub
Thoroughly scrub the countertop to remove contaminants, hard-water deposits, surface oils, and embedded residue.
Step 2
pH-Neutral Cleaning
Perform a complete cleaning with a professional pH-neutral stone cleaner to prepare the surface for polishing and sealing.
Step 3
Stone Polishing
Polish all areas with the MB polish matched to your stone, repeating the process as needed to achieve maximum gloss, clarity, and uniformity.
Step 4
Seal & Protect
Apply an impregnating sealer or color-enhancing sealer until the stone reaches its absorption limit, and the sealer begins to reject from the surface.
Step 5
Finishing Treatment
Apply a professional finishing spray to enhance the final feel of the stone, leaving the surface smooth while helping resist fingerprints, smudges, and everyday surface buildup.
Your countertop is one of these.
Countertops are not one material. What we do to yours depends on which stone is under the sink, and that is the part most vendors skip.
What is on your counter
Most San Diego counters are granite, marble, quartzite, limestone, travertine, or engineered quartz. Each one takes a different abrasive sequence and a different polish, and engineered stone carries honest limits the natural stones do not. If your granite is cracked rather than dull, that is a different repair. Protect the finish you just paid for.
We will tell you honestly what your countertop actually needs.
color enhancing sealer
Our color enhancing sealer enriches the natural depth of the stone while helping protect the finish you just restored. It is best for a counter that needs a deeper, richer look without adding a topical coating.
Penetrating Sealing
Our penetrating sealing agents soak into the stone and extend the life of your finish, without the topical layer of a coating. Routine protection, priced accordingly.

Proof that holds up.

Countertop restoration FAQ.
How long does countertop restoration take?
Most residential countertop jobs are completed in a single day on site. Kitchen counters, an island, and a primary-bath vanity can be restored, sealed if you choose, and walked through with you before we leave. Larger multi-room jobs are scoped during the free in-home assessment.
