Need a Cal Fire flame-retardant certificate?
Pure Light™ is registered with the California State Fire Marshal (#GA1582) and is one of very few applicators certified for on-site flame-retardant application in San Diego. We match the American Fire Coatings product to the fabric: Fire-X 1000 for interior drapes and wood, Fire X-238 for exterior wood, and Fire X-5000 for synthetic and blended fabrics. Certificates are filed with Cal Fire under Title 19 § 1321 within the 10-day window.

Send photos or book a walkthrough. We give you a written estimate with the method, the price, and the timeline.
Step 2
Method decision
On the day of service, we read the fabric code, test a discreet area, and confirm the approach with you before we start.
Step 3
Clean and protect
We clean on-site with the matched method. If you approved fabric protector or flame-retardant treatment, that goes on next and gets time to cure.
Step 4
Handoff
We walk the finished work with you. You get a photo record and, when applicable, your Cal Fire certificate.

Can you clean awnings and umbrellas without taking them down?
Yes. That is our default. We clean retractable and fixed awnings in place on your building, and we clean umbrellas upright or on a stand. We only remove hardware when the manufacturer or the fabric code requires it.
Some of my outdoor fabric feels fragile. Will cleaning damage it?
